Photograph 1 above shows the completed RF board with the right side panel in place as the heat sink for the final PA transistor. The headphone jack is the black square object sticking out of the lower right corner. The VFO inductor is the yellow toroid in the lower front portion of the photo. The receive crystal filter is the group of four crystals in the upper right corner.
The second photograph shows the bottom of the RF circuit board. The only coax cable in the entire rig is the short jumper visible in the center of the board. Test point locations have been silk-screened onto the board.
Building time for the RF board was approximately 12 hours. This includes initial alignment and calibration (plus some time spent just listening to the bands).
