QRP Nets

Many clubs have nets where all QRP operators are welcome to check in and share the latest station happenings. These nets are both fun and are an excellent way to improve your operating proficiency.

The chart above lists the day in both UTC and local USA. The time is listed in UTC and is the announced time for the winter months. The * in the time column indicates that this net is known to shift either the time (daylight savings time) or the frequency in the summer. Click on the net name link to get additional information from the sponsoring club's web site.

To check into the net on CW, listen for the NCS (Net Control Station) to send CQ to the net and then the QNI signal, at which time you answer with your callsign.  The NCS will acknowledge you, then will probably send QNI again, looking for additional check ins.  When all stations have been checked in, the NCS will give each station a turn to transmit to the entire net. It is easy and lots of fun to operate in QRP nets.  Give it a try and see for yourself!

Please send me an E-Mail if there are changes to the above list or if there are additional nets that should be included.  Thanks.
